CAR-4000 - 1U Platform Communication Appliance with the new Intel Xeon CPU!

IPC2U presents the CAR-4000 1U Platform Communications Applianc. It is based on the new quad-core Intel Xeon processor 3400 series (formerly Lynnfield). Thus the CAR-4000 is the ideal choice for security applications such as Enterprise Internet Security, Firewall, WAN optimization, Unified Threat Management, Network Access Control, Network Behavior Analysis and Triple Play broadcasting. The system can be successfully deployed in the enterprise and medium-sized offices.
The new CAR-4000 supports high speed 1333MHz dual-channel DDR3 ECC memory, 2x PCIe x 8 (8 GB/s bi-directional) for connecting expansion modules, 1x 3.5" or 2x 2.5" SATA HDD Drive Bay and one on-board CompactFlash.
Being a space-saving 1U platform, CAR-4000 provides more flexibility for customers requiring Crypto, Wireless, ADSL and other add-on modules.
Moreover there are 2x  USB 2.0 ports and RJ45 console on the front panel, 300W high-efficiency (85% at typical loading) AC-DC power supply with PFC, and excellent performance-per-watt for rack mount platform, at a maximum of 205W for quad-core Intel Xeon Processor X3450 (2.66GHz) with 20 Gigabit Ethernet ports.
